Chocolate Banana Energy Balls

Y’all know I’m obsessed, and here’s another new flavor combo to add to the mix: banana, chocolate, peanut or sunflower butter!

Great on-the-go snack that’s:

✔️nutrient dense



✔️will quench that afternoon sweet tooth (yours or the kiddos)!

Bon Appetit!


  • 1 1/4 cups rolled oats (Gluten-free if needed)

  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds

  • 1/2 cup nut butter of choice

  • 1/3 cup honey (maple syrup if going vegan)

  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • 1/2 cup freeze dried bananas

  • 1/2 cup crushed freeze dried bananas (to coat finished balls)


  • Combine all but crushed freeze dried bananas in food processor and blend until you get an evenly distributed crumby mixture.

  • If you don't have a processor or blender: place ingredients in a large mixing bowl and stir to combine.

  • If the mixture seems too wet, add a bit more oats. If it’s too dry, add a bit more nut butter. It should resemble a somewhat sticky dough that holds together when lightly squeezed.

  • Place the bowl in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to set (this will make the balls easier to roll later on).

  • Remove the bowl from the refrigerator and portion the dough into balls of desired size.
