Who loves hot chai? Maybe the question should be, who doesn't?
I’m definitely a chai lover. There’s something about the combination of warm spices and creaminess that is SO cozy.
This spiced chai smoothie is ALL THAT plus we kicked it up a few notches by adding some nutrient dense whole foods like decaf chai tea, chia, oats, soy milk, banana, and date.
Adjust the spices and sweetness to your liking and you can enjoy chai in a whole (food) new way! See what I did there? Hehe! Breakfast, snack, post work-out, dessert, this allergen friendly smoothie will be sure to satisfy and satiate any time of day.

Ingredients:
1 cup prepared chai tea, cooled (I use a decaf chai tea and let it steep for a long time to maximize the flavors)
1/2 cup soy milk, or milk of choice
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp clove
1 Tbsp chia seeds
1 frozen banana, cut into several pieces
1 date
1/4 cup oats (gluten-free if needed)
handful of ice
Directions:
Throw ingredients in a high powered blender in the order above and blend for about 1 minute until desired consistency.
Sounds sooo good!
